About Us
“If not us, then who will come to the aid of our children?
They are waiting for us to awaken and raise our voices on their behalf.”
-Elizabeth Evans, founder

Heart 4 Kids was founded by Elizabeth Evans in 1999 in an effort to engage her Child Development students to take an active interest in the welfare of young children.  Since that time the organization is under reconstruction as Elizabeth attempts to move the  organization into a global effort, to support the quality of life for children and families.  Elizabeth welcomes your input and involvement as concerned citizens of the world that realize that we can no longer ignore that children and families are in crisis. Please keep an eye on the website and the Heart 4 Kids Blog for the information forth coming on the progress of moving the organization forward.

About the Founder

Elizabeth Galloway-Evans has been an educator for over 30 years.  She attended both U.C.L.A. and U.S.C. where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and her Master of Science in Education with a special-ization in Early Childhood Education.  She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta and Phi Beta Kappa organizations.  She is currently the Chair of the Child Development Department at West Los Angeles College.  Her passion however, is teaching young children and working with parents to support them in their journey of parenthood.  Elizabeth has worked in Early Childhood programs for more then 25 years.  She has been an adjunct instructor in Early Childhood at U.C.L.A. Extension Division, Pasadena City College, and at many of the colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District.  Elizabeth has been a Pre-school teacher, Vice Principal of an elementary school, and a Master Teacher and Director of the L.A. Community College District Lab ECE programs.  She has served as a Validator for the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  Elizabeth has been selected twice as a presenter at the Oxford University Round Table and has been honored as ‘Teacher of the Year” too many years to count.  It is her passion for the well- being of children that is the driving force in her life.  Elizabeth intends to make sure that the voices of children will be heard and reckoned with. She is committed to writing books to address the needs of all children.
Elizabeth is quoted as saying,

“I used to think it was enough for me to impact the life of one child, and at that time I was twenty. Then I thought it would be marvelous if I could be a light at the end of a tunnel for all the children in my class, and at that time, I was thirty. At last, I thought that if I could teach teachers I would be satisfied because ultimately, I could make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children, and at that time, I was forty.

"Now, I realize that my destiny call is to reach out and try to touch the lives of thousands of children and their parents.  Now I have come fully into my 'destiny call', I finally understand that,

'To much that has been given, much is expected'."
